Features

17-4 PH is a chromium-nickel-copper precipitation-hardening stainless steel known for its combination of high strength, good corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical properties. The alloy can achieve a wide range of strength and hardness levels through controlled heat treatment while maintaining useful corrosion resistance.

The material offers good dimensional stability during heat treatment and can be supplied in different precipitation-hardened conditions to meet specific mechanical requirements. Its combination of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance makes it suitable for highly stressed components operating in demanding environments.

17-4 PH is commonly supplied as bar, rod, plate, sheet, forgings, wire and rings for aerospace, chemical processing, marine, oil and gas, power generation and general engineering applications.
