Features
XM-19, also known as Nitronic 50 and UNS S20910, is a nitrogen-strengthened austenitic stainless steel combining high mechanical strength with excellent corrosion resistance and good toughness. Its alloying system includes chromium, nickel, manganese, molybdenum and nitrogen, providing substantially higher strength than many conventional 300-series stainless steels.
The alloy provides good resistance to general corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion in a wide range of aggressive environments. It performs particularly well in marine and chemical processing applications where components are exposed to corrosive media while carrying significant mechanical loads.
XM-19 can be supplied in various product forms and processing conditions. Round bar, rod, shaft material, plate, sheet, forgings, wire and fastener stock are available for applications requiring a combination of strength, corrosion resistance and long-term service reliability.
