Features

Hastelloy C-2000 is a versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with a deliberate copper addition. The copper significantly improves resistance to sulfuric acid, while its high chromium content provides strong resistance to oxidizing chemicals and process streams containing ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

The alloy combines resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing environments and provides excellent protection against pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. It is also ductile and suitable for forming and welding.

Typical applications are found in demanding chemical-processing environments, particularly reactors, heat exchangers and equipment exposed to aggressive acids and mixed corrosive media.
