Features

0Cr13Ni5Mo is a low-carbon chromium-nickel-molybdenum martensitic stainless steel developed for engineering components requiring a combination of high strength, toughness and corrosion resistance. Its alloy design makes it particularly suitable for heavily loaded components operating in water-related environments.

The relatively low carbon content helps improve toughness and weldability compared with conventional higher-carbon martensitic stainless steels. Nickel contributes to toughness and structural stability, while molybdenum improves hardenability and supports corrosion and mechanical performance.

A major advantage of 0Cr13Ni5Mo is its combination of mechanical strength and resistance to cavitation and erosion. These characteristics make the material particularly useful for components exposed to high-velocity water flow and repeated mechanical loading.

Typical applications include hydropower turbine runners, turbine blades, impellers, shafts, pump components, valves and large forged components used in hydroelectric and heavy engineering equipment.
