Features
0Cr16Ni5Mo is a high-strength chromium-nickel-molybdenum martensitic stainless steel developed for structural and mechanical components requiring a combination of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance.
Its chromium content provides corrosion and oxidation resistance, while nickel contributes to toughness and helps improve the balance between strength and ductility. Molybdenum supports hardenability and enhances performance under demanding mechanical and environmental conditions.
Through appropriate quenching and tempering treatments, 0Cr16Ni5Mo can develop high mechanical strength while retaining useful toughness and fatigue performance. These characteristics make it suitable for highly stressed components subjected to repeated or sustained mechanical loading.
Typical applications include shafts, rotor components, high-strength fasteners, precision forgings and other load-bearing parts used in aerospace, power-generation, machinery and demanding engineering equipment.
