Features

Incoloy 800HT is a controlled-composition nickel-iron-chromium alloy developed for applications requiring excellent mechanical stability and creep resistance during prolonged exposure to elevated temperatures. It is closely related to Incoloy 800 and 800H but uses tighter chemistry controls to optimize high-temperature performance.

The alloy combines nickel and chromium with controlled carbon, aluminum and titanium contents. These compositional controls help provide improved creep and stress-rupture properties while maintaining good resistance to oxidation, carburization and other high-temperature environments.

Incoloy 800HT retains a stable austenitic structure during prolonged thermal exposure and offers good resistance to many oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. It is particularly valuable for components that must withstand sustained mechanical loading at elevated temperatures.

Typical applications include petrochemical furnace tubing, heater tubes, steam superheaters, heat exchangers, high-temperature piping and heat-treatment equipment.
