Features
Incoloy 925 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-iron-chromium alloy combining high mechanical strength with excellent corrosion resistance. Its composition includes molybdenum and copper for corrosion resistance together with titanium and aluminum for age-hardening response.
The alloy provides strong resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and chloride-induced stress-corrosion cracking. Its nickel-rich matrix also contributes to reliable performance in aggressive environments containing chlorides and other corrosive media.
Through solution treatment and age hardening, Incoloy 925 develops significantly higher strength than conventional solution-strengthened corrosion-resistant alloys. This makes it particularly suitable for highly loaded components operating in severe oil and gas environments.
Typical applications include downhole tools, hangers, valve components, fasteners, tubular products and wellhead equipment, especially where a combination of high strength and sour-service corrosion resistance is required.
