Features

Incoloy 926 is a highly alloyed austenitic corrosion-resistant material containing high levels of nickel, chromium and molybdenum together with nitrogen and copper. This alloying combination provides outstanding resistance to aggressive chemical and chloride-containing environments.

Its approximately 6% molybdenum content, combined with nitrogen, provides excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. High nickel content improves resistance to chloride-induced stress-corrosion cracking, while copper contributes to performance in reducing acid environments.

Incoloy 926 offers excellent resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids and performs well in seawater, brackish water and other chloride-rich environments. It also maintains good toughness and ductility across a wide range of service conditions.

Typical applications include flue-gas desulfurization systems, chemical-processing equipment, desalination plants, seawater systems, heat exchangers, acid-production equipment and offshore components.
