Features
Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy designed to provide a combination of corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and good mechanical properties over a broad temperature range. Its high nickel content contributes resistance to many reducing environments and chloride-ion stress corrosion cracking, while chromium provides resistance to oxidizing conditions.
The alloy maintains useful strength and oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for equipment exposed to repeated heating and demanding thermal conditions. It also provides good resistance to many organic and inorganic compounds and performs reliably in a variety of chemical-processing environments.
Inconel 600 is available in numerous product forms, including plate, sheet, strip, coil, bar, rod, pipe, tube, wire and forgings. It is widely used for furnace components, heat-treatment equipment, chemical-processing systems and heat exchangers.
