Features

Monel 400 is a solid-solution nickel-copper alloy known for its excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical strength and toughness. Its high nickel content provides reliable performance in a wide range of corrosive environments, while the copper content contributes to its resistance in marine and chemical service.

The alloy offers particularly good resistance to flowing seawater and many neutral and reducing media. It also performs well in various acids, alkalis and salt solutions, making it suitable for equipment exposed to demanding chemical and marine environments.

Monel 400 can be supplied in a wide range of product forms, including plate, sheet, strip, bar, rod, pipe, tube, wire and forgings. It is widely used for fabricated equipment, piping systems and machined components requiring long-term corrosion resistance.
