Features
724L is a specialized corrosion-resistant stainless steel intended for industrial equipment operating in aggressive chemical and process environments. Its alloy design is intended to provide a useful combination of corrosion resistance, mechanical reliability and fabrication performance.
The material is particularly suitable for equipment where conventional stainless steels may provide insufficient corrosion resistance. Proper solution heat treatment and fabrication procedures are important for maintaining its corrosion performance and metallurgical stability.
724L can be supplied in a variety of product forms, including plate, sheet, tube, pipe, bar, forgings, flanges and fittings. This makes it suitable for both pressure-containing equipment and fabricated process systems.
