Features
21800 is a specialized urea-grade stainless steel intended for components exposed to highly corrosive process conditions encountered during industrial urea production. It is particularly suited to equipment handling aggressive ammonium carbamate-containing media.
The material is designed to provide reliable corrosion performance under the elevated temperature and pressure conditions found in critical sections of urea plants. Careful control of chemical composition, metallurgical structure and heat treatment is important for maintaining corrosion resistance.
21800 can be supplied in various forms for high-pressure urea-processing systems, including piping components, tubes, forged parts, flanges and specialized reactor components.
Typical applications include urea reactors, strippers, condensers, scrubbers, carbamate piping and other pressure-containing components where long-term resistance to severe urea-process corrosion is required.
