31# is a specialized urea-grade stainless steel intended for critical equipment exposed to severe corrosion conditions during industrial urea production. It is particularly suited to components handling aggressive ammonium carbamate-containing process media.
The material is designed to provide reliable corrosion performance under the elevated temperatures and pressures encountered in high-pressure sections of urea plants. Controlled chemical composition, metallurgical quality and appropriate heat treatment are important for maintaining consistent performance.
